One summer, one boarding school for rich kids, four friends. What could go wrong?
This is more of a novella than a novel, and is set in Santa Monica. The plot follows four friends who attend the exclusive fee-paying school, St. Malmont, and decide to follow their true desires and bucket lists, starting with an unplanned trip to Australia. The moral behind the story, that money doesn’t buy happiness or guarantee a balanced personality, is timeless, as are the struggles in friendship faced by teenagers worldwide regardless of wealth and social status.
This is an interesting idea, but for me it didn’t quite work. I’m sure it will be an entertaining summer read for others though.
