Welcome to a monthly feature on The Big Book Project, where I will be writing about my favourite characters from the books I have read this month! The aim of this feature is to introduce people to characters from books they may not have read: you may just find out about a book, (and a character), that could be your new favourite! On with the post of my top monthly characters October…
1. Stealing Snow by Danielle Page- Snow
I really connected to Snow as a character in ‘Stealing Snow’, making me empathise with her and root for her throughout the whole novel. I liked her unique personality and her relationship with Vern. The whole novel was tension filled and apprehensive due to the internal feelings of Snow, knowing she doesn’t belong in a mental hospital.
2. The Last Beginning by Lauren James- Clove
Clove is such an eccentric character, making chuckle at certain points in ‘The Last Beginning’. I enjoyed following Clove from when she was really young to a sixteen-year-old, making me feel like I had gone through a journey with her myself.
2. The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon- Natasha
I really liked reading from the perspective of Natasha in ‘The Sun is Also a Star’: her likeable personality had me hooked from the beginning. Her touching story made me want to meet her in real life- definitely making her one of my favourite characters.
Check back in November for my new list of monthly characters!
